Encor® latexes for textiles and nonwovens
Arkema Coating Resins has traditionally offered formulators a comprehensive range of unique waterborne emulsions for textile coatings, nonwovens and related products, providing:
- washing and dry-cleaning resistances
- tensile and tear strengths,
- water repellency or permeability
But with increased concern about formaldehyde in textile products, we have developed new formaldehyde-free, self-crosslinking binders designed help meet your innovation and stainability goals. Binders designed to display comparable or even improved performance compared to conventional, formaldehyde releasing, binders.
Formaldehyde-free polymer design
ENCOR® 1130 S offers performance equivalant with conventional binders. Formulations based on this soft acrylic binder provide:
- enhanced appearance
across a wide range of textile surfaces.
ENCOR® 1432 S out-performs conventional binders in the bonding of nonwovens in a number of important performance properties, including:
- tensile strength in dry and wet (water, alcali) conditions
- water repellency
This hard styrene-acrylic latex demonstrates a strong affinity for mineral materials, making it ideal for bonding glass mats.
ENCOR® 1133 S gives pigment pastes
- excellent crockfastness (rubbing resistance)
- good colour rendering
- outstanding washing and dry cleaning resistanceto printed fabrics
This highly flexible acrylic binder is an excellent choice for applications on stretch fabrics.
